Vienna Elite will be fielding a team of (11)* highly skilled U14 players.  Our program is expected to be one of the most rigorous training programs in the Region.  The team is expected to be a competitive "OPEN" level team which will compete in selected multi-day tournaments and local CHRVA tournaments (Refer to tentative schedule below).

The U14 team is expected to practice twice per week.   During the training months of November and December as well as on non-tournament weekends from January thru May, the Club may also hold "Academy" which will focus on specific skills (i.e. serving, passing, setting, team defense etc).  Academy will be run by special instructors or by Vienna Elite coaches.

Our club strives to be the best club in Northern Virginia when considering competitiveness of teams, level of coaching, club fees, number of tournaments and overall access to court time. Our players love to play volleyball and want to compete at a high level!

* At the discretion of the club 1 or 2 "practice players" will be considered depending on the circumstances of the team.  Practice players will not participate in any matches or tournaments unless specifically called upon by the Head Coach. 

Bob Bell (USAV  IMPACT and CAP I Certified) is the club’s Founder and serves as Vienna Elite's Technical Director. He is a passionate volleyball fan, player, instructor, coach and father. He also founded and has served as Commissioner of Vienna Youth Volleyball (VYV) since 2008. Bob is entering his tenth year of coaching, eighth year for a USA Volleyball club. He brings (too) many years of volleyball experience playing competitively and socially at Inter-Collegiate Club, USAV clubs, Co-Ed and sand/grass doubles. He has coached at U13, U14, U15, U16, U17s, and this season, he will focus on U14s. Coach Bell led two of his Vienna Elite U14 teams to the USAV Nationals, 2015 in New Orleans and 2016 in Indianapolis.  His passion for the sport is fulfilled when he works with the younger players in teaching proper techniques and spreading the love of the game. His goal is to never be the last volleyball coach for any player - and his hope is that all his players progress to their next level of play (with an even better coach on an even better team).  Contact: bob.bell@viennaelite.org

Coach Jerry (USAV IMPACT certified)and grew up in the DC area.  He was introduced to volleyball in high school and continued playing adult USAV volleyball.  He has been coaching volleyball for over 25 years.

Coach Jerry has coached U14’s, U15’s, U16’s, U17’s, U18’s teams with various volleyball clubs in DC and Northern Virginia but enjoys coaching the younger ages.  Coach Jerry also officiated high school volleyball and USAV volleyball for over ten years but retired from officiating because he enjoyed coaching more.  Jerry has coached our U14 team for past 3 seasons and returns for 2023-24 season.
