U17 Blue Venom

Team Vision 17 Blue

Vienna Elite will be fielding a team of (11 or 12)* highly skilled U17 players.  Our program is expected to be one of the most rigorous training programs in the Region.  The team is expected to be a competitive "OPEN" level team which will compete in selected multi-day tournaments and local CHRVA tournaments (Refer to tentative schedule below).

The U17 team is expected to practice twice per week.   During the training months of November and December as well as on non-tournament weekends from January thru May, the Club may also hold "Academy" which will focus on specific skills (i.e. serving, passing, setting, team defense etc).  Academy will be run by special instructors or by Vienna Elite coaches.

Our club strives to be the best club in Northern Virginia when considering competitiveness of teams, level of coaching, club fees, number of tournaments and overall access to court time. Our players love to play volleyball and want to compete at a high level!

* At the discretion of the club 1 or 2 "practice players" will be considered depending on the circumstances of the team.  Practice players will not participate in any matches or tournaments unless specifically called upon by the Head Coach.

Coaches

RYAN COSLOVE, HEAD COACH

Ryan Coslove (USAV IMPACT-certified) is originally from Cinnaminson, New Jersey.  He began his 9+ year volleyball career his freshman year of high school where he quickly became the JV team's starting setter.  The following 3 years he held the starting setter role for his school's Varsity team. Ryan was a setter and libero for his former high school-level club team, Quandomania, where he trained with AVP Rookie of the Year, Eric Zaun (R.I.P), as one of his coaches.  He has also played in his former club's beach volleyball program and competed in doubles sand-volleyball tournaments in New Jersey. Ryan recently graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.  While in college, Ryan played intramural volleyball and open gyms with the Rutgers club volleyball teams.

Ryan coached volleyball for Central Jersey Heat during his senior year of college where he head-coached a developmental 15U team and co-coached advanced 16U teams in the club.  Ryan moved to Northern Virginia in October 2022 for work and became the head coach for Dynamix Volleyball's 16 National team.  Ryan likes to emphasize encouragement, support, and fun while pushing athletes past their comfort zones to maximize individual skills and team execution.  (Contact: ryan.coslove@viennaelite.org)
