U14 TRAVEL TEAM VISION
Vienna Elite will be fielding a team of (11)* highly skilled U14 players. U14 Travel Team will be our top-level team at this age. Our program is expected to be one of the most rigorous training programs in the Region. The team is expected to be a competitive team that will compete in selected multi-day tournaments in the "Open" division and several local CHRVA tournaments.
U14 Travel Team will compete in AAU Nationals in Orlando in June as part of its tournament schedule. If a bid is earned for USAV Nationals, priority will be given to USAV Nationals.
The U14 Travel Team is expected to practice twice (Tue/Thur) each week, with additional third days of practices/training sessions on Wednesdays throughout the season. Training will be more heavily weighted during the earlier months of the season. Practices will be followed by 45 minute fitness/conditioning after practice on Thursdays (starting 11/13 - ending 3/26).
On non-tournament weekends from January through May, the Club may also elect to hold "Academy," which will focus on specific skills (i.e., serving, passing, setting, team defense, etc).
Our club strives to be the best club in Northern Virginia when considering the competitiveness of teams, the level of coaching, the club fees, the number of tournaments, and overall access to court time. Our players love to play volleyball and want to compete at a high level!
* At the discretion of the club, 1 or 2 "practice players" will be considered depending on the circumstances of the team. Practice players will not participate in any matches or tournaments unless specifically called upon by the Head Coach.
Note: Club Fees Includes USAV Nationals or AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL.
COACHES
BOB BELL, PRESIDENT AND HEAD COACH
Bob Bell (USAV IMPACT and CAP I Certified) is the club’s Founder and serves as Vienna Elite's Technical Director. He is a passionate volleyball fan, player, instructor, coach, and father. He also founded and has served as Commissioner of Vienna Youth Volleyball (VYV) since 2008. Bob is entering his seventeenth year of coaching, his sixteenth year for a USA Volleyball club. He brings (too) many years of volleyball experience playing competitively and socially at Inter-Collegiate Club, USAV clubs, Co-Ed, and sand/grass doubles.
He has coached at U13, U14, U15, U16, U17s, and this season, he will focus on U14s. Coach Bell led two of his Vienna Elite U14 teams to the USAV Nationals, 2015 in New Orleans and 2016 in Indianapolis. His passion for the sport is fulfilled when he works with the younger players in teaching proper techniques and spreading the love of the game. His goal is to never be the last volleyball coach for any player - and his hope is that all his players progress to their next level of play (with an even better coach on an even better team). JERRY REYES - CO-HEAD COACH
Coach Jerry (USAV IMPACT certified) grew up in the DC area. He was introduced to volleyball in high school and continued playing adult USAV volleyball. He has been coaching volleyball for over 25 years.
Coach Jerry has coached U14s, U15s, U16s, U17s, and U18s teams with various volleyball clubs in DC and Northern Virginia, but enjoys coaching the younger ages. Coach Jerry also officiated high school volleyball and USAV volleyball for over ten years, but retired from officiating because he enjoyed coaching more. Jerry has coached our U14 team for the past 5 seasons and returns for the 2025-26 season.
Coach Jerry believes that games are not won on tournament day but in practice and encourages his players to give 100%.

HANNAH LAOUDI - ASST COACH
Coach Hannah (USAV IMPACT certified) has been playing volleyball for over 12 years, with 10 of those years as a setter. She grew up playing club volleyball in Northern Virginia with several seasons at Vienna Elite, including her own U14 travel season with Coach Bob! In high school, she earned a spot on varsity as a freshman and was team captain her sophomore year.
She recently graduated from George Mason University and is excited to return to club volleyball and Vienna Elite, this time as a coach! Her goal for this season is to develop players individually and as a unit while maintaining a love for the game.
